Aluplast is set to double its manufacturing capacity with the opening of a new £26million extrusion facility on a 15-hectare site at Nagradowice, Poland, including a production hall, a raw material mixing plant and technical and R&D facilities.

The new facility, which will have the potential to house up 50 twin extrusion lines, is due to come on line in August this year, which also coincides with company’s 40th anniversary.

Director of sales and marketing Ian Cocken said: “aluplast is a forward-looking business. Construction of this plant started in 2017, and is testament to the family’s confidence that the market will continue to expand. It will also house our high-tech dual extruders, again driving sustainability as a key message, and leading the market in innovative solutions.

“We’ll be taking out some of our customers to see the facility for themselves in June. We expect them to be impressed with the group infrastructure that sits behind the aluplast brand in the UK.”

aluplast was founded in Ettlingen, Germany, in December 1982 by Manfred J Seitz, and today remains a family-owned business.
