Sheerline has added to its ‘whole-house’ aluminium solutions proposition with the introduction of the Prestige composite door frame to allow installers and fabricators to offer all frames are perfectly matched across a project.

It includes choice of two aluminium outer frames that fit both 44 and 48/49mm door blanks which are ready to help doorsets meet the new requirements of Part L with Sheerline’s Thermlock thermal breaks.

The outer frame is said to be 16x more rigid than reinforced PVC-u and includes features such as threshold cover strips that conceal fixings and universal sealable end caps.

The system has two low threshold options, tested to the requirements of Part M, that can be run continuously under sidelights if required, and both are able to accommodate a mechanically jointed ‘T’ transom/mullion, providing slimmer sightlines when doors are configured with sidelights.
