Global Windows has scooped two GGP Installer Awards, in recognition of an installation at a home in Todwick, as well as the company’s approach to keeping staff and customers safe during the pandemic.

This is the second year in a row that the Sheffield-based company has won top spot in the awards programme.

The company won the ‘Best Installation’ award in the under £20,000 category for an installation involving replacing timber windows with uPVC casement alternatives, a project the judges described as ‘a great example of a modern uPVC replacement done well and to the regulations’.

It also won the ‘Covid-19 Response Award’, in recognition of a Safe Operating Procedures document that was drawn up to keep employees and customers as safe as possible during the height of the pandemic. This included strict safety measures during sales calls, survey visits, installation and post-installation appointments.

Joint managing director Liam Hulme said: “The installation was carefully carried out by our dedicated installation team, and we couldn’t be prouder of the outcome, while we’re also very proud of the time and care we put in to keeping our staff and customers safe during the pandemic.

“At Global Windows, we really pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, and these awards, following on from last year’s win, are yet another way of proving that.”

The company is one of the Top 3 Window Fitters in Sheffield under the Three Best Rated Scheme, as well as winners of the 2020 GGP Installer Awards, and finalists in the 2021 G-Awards, National Building and Construction Awards, and the Sheffield Star Small Business Awards.
