Distinction Doors today announced the launch of a the 3 Quarter Lite GRP composite door design with a large glazed aperture to let in more light.

With the glazed area measuring 558mm x 1218mm, the door style can be fitted with three glass designs from the company’s glass range – Kara Zinc, Palma and Monza.

Available in two sizes, 838mm and 914mm, the 3 Quarter Lite blanks can be trimmed by 40mm off the top and each side, and 70mm from the bottom. Parameters extend from 914mm maximum to 758mm minimum.

A snap-fit cassette provides fabricators and installers with consistency in design, and more significantly, colour, where applicable, as the company coats its cassettes using paint with the same batch number as its associated door blank to ensure a perfect colour match.

Launching in white, it is also available in bespoke colours from the Distinction colour palette, on an extended lead-time.

The 3 Quarter Lite door blank also meets the specification requirements of PAS 24: 2016 and is Secured by Design approved.

Associate sales director Andy Grogan said: “Demand for this new door style has been driven by consumers.  Traditional, glazed door styles dominated our sales in 2021 and the new 3 Quarter Lite will capitalise on this demand and will enable our customers to give consumers more of what they want – more natural light in their homes.”
