Lumi has made further investment in its latest range of ‘frameless’ window and doors, with the addition of new machinery to its Ballymena factory.

A £61K Emmegi CNC machine is to be delivered this month, followed by a further £5K expenditure on an Elumatec 223 End Miller.

MD Asa McGillian said: “Our latest investment in automation has been made to satisfy the steady growth in demand for Lumi Aluminium products since we launched the range at the start of this year.

“Our aluminium system is perfect for the current market because it bridges the gap between high-end architectural products which look the part – and affordability, with an achievable mid-level price point that is typically less than comparable aluminium products. It really does offer the best of both worlds and delivers everything you might look for in a quality, contemporary, 21st Century window.”

Lumi Aluminium, which joins the two established Lumi variations made from composite materials, caters for the current trend for aluminium windows and doors increasingly favoured by homeowners, architects and specifiers with the brand’s trademark ‘frameless’ edge-to-edge glazing design.
