Gap, the 80-depot trade counter operator and building products manufacturer, has announced the promotion of window and roof divisional manager Richard Lee to commercial director.

Founder Simon Bird said of the appointment: “Although Richard has only been with us for a relatively short period of time, it was clear from the beginning of his value to this business thanks to his near 30 years in the industry. His product knowledge, supplier relationships and reputation within GAP is clear for all to see.

“With 80 depots across the country together with five manufacturing plants, it was important for us to create a position which linked together many key roles within the business. Throughout a challenging period for our industry, our sole focus remains working towards putting the customer first, by providing quality products and services and I’m sure Richard will play a key part in this journey.”

Richard Lee added, “I am very proud to become the new Commercial Director of GAP. It’s clear we have a great product offering within the business, which is backed by a great team, so I’m looking forward to continuing to work with everyone involved. My role will involve creating closer working relationships internally to ensure we continue to put our customers first within the depot network we operate.”
