The SF52 aluminium curtain wall system and SPW501 aluminium commercial doors from Senior Architectural Systems were used to create the frontage of the new six-screen Savoy cinema and restaurant complex in Doncaster’s Cultural and Civic Quarter.

The building, designed by Harris Partnership and delivered by main contractor Lindum, features a range of Senior’s aluminium fenestration systems, all fabricated and installed by Rotherham based Alusec.

The new cinema is one of the latest projects to be completed as part of the wider regeneration of Doncaster’s historic Cultural and Civic Quarter, with Senior also appointed to supply the fenestration package for the town’s new Danum Gallery, Library and Museum.

Designed and built by architects Bond Bryan and main contractor Willmott Dixon, the new cultural and learning hub has been created following the restoration of four existing buildings. A focal point of the scheme is the restored frontage of a former Edwardian school which has been framed by Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain wall and showcased within a new steel-frame building.

The glazed façade, which was fabricated and installed by Senior’s supply chain partner Chemplas Ltd, also features Senior’s aluminium commercial doors.
