The Building Our Skills organisation is calling on fenestration marketers and other players to back its #lovefenestration campaign with a message a day throughout February to draw new talent into the industry.

Stephanie Tague, head of Building Our Skills – Making it a Career of Choice (BOS), is asking for industry marketers and others to agree to make a short video or written statement on why they love being part of the fenestration industry.

“It could be someone influenced you, the job you do, the buzz you get from it, or whatever,” she said, “Just what you love about the fenestration industry and what made you choose to be a part if it.

“We believe you and your colleagues will instantly see the benefits of promoting our industry, but also because your support is invaluable to BOS the campaign and with your backing, we hope to see more employers engage and show their support.”

The organisation aims to collate the messages to put out one a day via social media and its own website throughout February, and shared by contributors and others’ own platforms.

Participation will also give contributors inclusion in the organisation’s  supporter’s page.  “We constantly look at ways in which we can gain support from industry employers across all business types,” she added.

“Gaining their support enables us to gather momentum behind showing externally our industry is serious in welcoming new and young people to choose the industry as a long-term career.”
