Euramax Solutions, fabricator to trade as well as modular and holiday home manufacturers, has been placed into administration following the collapse of a major customer as well as a downturn in demand for UK holidays post-Covid.

The company, manufacturing PVCu and aluminium, operates out of a 205,000sqft unit in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, where management and suppliers are said to be working on a limited basis to fulfil outstanding customer orders.

Chris Ratten, partner at RSM Restructuring Advisory and joint administrator, said the company had around 200 employees but no redundancies had been made to date.

He added: “The continuing downturn in the market for the company’s products plus a key customer entering administration has significantly impacted the viability of the business, and the directors had to take the difficult decision to appoint administrators.”

The company claims over 70 years of history, with beginnings as a small manufacturer of windscreens, canal boat and caravan windows before moving into PVCu and aluminium.
