Two Epwin Window Systems employees, commercial director Ray McGrady and customer service advisor Tony Lloyd will be running this year’s London Marathon in April.

Ray, who is running on behalf of the British Heart Foundation, said: “If it was not for the amazing work British Heart Foundation does in developing and supporting medical research, my dad would not be with us today.

“It’s inspiring to see the positive difference that can be made through supporting such crucial work and I will forever be grateful for the incredible work they do. I’m trying, in a small way, to give back by attempting the London Marathon.”

Tony, running on behalf of SpecialEffect, said: “As someone who has benefited from the help of SpecialEffect and as an ambassador for the charity, I couldn’t be prouder to take on this challenge for them. SpecialEffect assesses a person’s needs and adapts technology to harness whatever controlled movement they have and creates bespoke gaming setups to enable them to play to the best of their abilities.”

Head of marketing Gerald Allen added: “Everyone at Epwin Window Systems wishes Ray and Tony the very best of luck. The London Marathon is an impressive feat, not just because of the 26.2 miles on the day but also the months of training that go into getting to the start line.!”
