A business that started off as a one-man locksmiths shop in Willenhall is now celebrating 185 years in business with nearly 200 employees supplying more than 42million pieces of hardware.

From introducing the first ever five-lever multipoint lock, to the release of our TouchKey solution, to our progressive sustainability commitments, we have always been dedicated to working with our trade partners to create opportunities, meet demand and exceed expectations.”
Recent years have also seen Era reach a number of milestones, including the rollout of TouchKey, its smart door security solution said to be the only system of its kind to incorporate five different entry methods and the first to achieve BSI’s new Smart Residential Locking Device standard.
The business moved to a purpose-built 135,000 sq ft headquarters at the i54 site in Wolverhampton in 2017, housing manufacturing, R&D, product development, test and training facilities. The facility is now fully powered by 100% renewable resources. Plus, Tyman’s UK & Ireland Divison, has received approval of its near-term science-based reduction targets (SBTs) by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
