Emplas is setting its sights on two G23 trophies with shortlistings for the Fabricator of the Year as well as a Rising Star nomination for its head of customer services Clodagh

The company already has trophies for Fabricator of the Year 2015 and 2021 and is now aiming for the hat-trick on the strength of a 25% increase in turnover, and a multi-million-pound IT and operational investment programme.

Group Managing Director Ryan Johnson said: “It’s a very competitive category and there are some very good businesses sitting alongside us as finalists.

“We have had a very successful couple of years with sustained growth but what we’re most proud of is the work that has gone in behind the scenes to make that growth sustainable.

“This includes multi-million-pound headline investments, but equally importantly, the investment that we’re making in our people and teams because ultimately they define the service which we give to our customers.”

Rising Star nominee Clodagh said: “You’re only ever as good as the team around you and I’m fortunate to work with some very talented and committed people, so this really a nomination for the whole customer services team.

“It is, however, incredibly flattering to have made the finals at the G-Awards, and I’d like to say thank you to Ryan, Kush, Jody and the team here, who nominated me, but who have also supported my career development and always given me the backing to develop and to grow.”

Sales Director Jody Vincent said: “Anyone who works with Clodagh closely, either the team here or customers, has nothing but the utmost respect for her exceptional professionalism but also her commitment to doing everything she possibly can to get things right for our customers.”
