Swift Frame is introducing a new add-on that allows its self-extruded windows to offer greater thermal efficiency – a thermal insert that can now take its profile to eight chambers.

The insert, made of recycled PVCu, raises the product’s overall energy efficiency to a U-value of 1.2 – lower than the new 1.4 minimum required by updated Building Regulations.

Sales Director Jason Scrivens explained: “Environmental awareness has exploded over the last five years. Governments, councils, businesses and homeowners are more concerned about climate change than ever – and as the clock ticks on the UK’s ambition to reach net zero by 2050, that’s only going to increase in the decade ahead.

“Our new thermal insert is a small development in of itself, but it’s part of a broader picture. We want to arm our valued customers with the outstanding products they’ll need to thrive in the net zero age.

“It’s by constantly looking for marginal gains like these that we’ll produce windows that aren’t just stylish and long-lasting, but sustainable too.”
