Bearing in mind

While newspaper columns have been crammed for weeks with argument and counter-argument over what is best for fighting or avoiding this deadly new disease. But a few have also stood up to highlight the effect that the virus – or, more to the point, its wider implications – is having on the mental health of the nation and of course its workers.

Mila’s Sarah Gyde was among those bringing the subject to the fore and this week, she marks the end of Mental Health Awareness Week with a letter detailing the challenge and urging all of use to give the matter our full attention. Read More

The concerns of the industry are also reflected in a recent round table event which concluded that finding willing customers may be far from the greatest of the industry’s fears as many were more concerned about the when and how of returning from lockdown.

And, in a different and rather unexpected response to the pandemic, we hear of a door access gadget that can even tell you how well or unwell your caller might be. Read more
