It made for grim enough reading to see the number of fabricators and installers carrying high credit risk ratings but is all the more shocking to see that the figures emanate from pre-Covid days. We hardly dare imagine how they stack up now – or perhaps even more worryingly, how many of those individual ‘statistics’ will even be around to play their part in the overall picture. As the report’s author put it, “This could lead to a serious bad debt situation for suppliers.” Read more

Add to that of course the fact that the domestic retrofitters, who are still the backbone of this industry, don’t even know how they are to go about working safely and legally in people’s homes and, as the GGF points out, they may or may not be any wiser depending on who they do or do not listen to.
