Smiles Back on Glassex Faces!
The smiles were back on the faces of Glassex exhibitors yesterday, as the second day more than made up for the slow start on day one. Amid a flurry of announcements and product launches, there was a real buzz in the halls as the glass and window industry got down to business.
The day kicked off with the announcement that Ultraframe is to continue with its sponsorship of the Conservatory Design Competition for Glassex 2006. In addition they also launched Sunroom, a new slant on their conservatory roof system, as well as a couple of major new initiatives for their installers. More on this next week.
Rehau, too, were getting in on the act by previewing their complete conservatory system, which they are developing in conjunction with Wendland Roof Solutions, as well as displaying their two new products, a new range of sculptured profiles for their existing 70mm system and a new thermal sleeve.
Adding to the hum of optimism in the halls was Alan Fielder, Commercial Director, of Aluplast UK who said, ‘Our new system, Ideal 70, is going down a storm with our existing customers and we have made some exciting new contacts at the show including some significant players. The buzz seems to be back at Glassex.’
