Window Market Bounces Back
Better news all round this week, with BHD being rescued from the administrators by Laird for some £4.2m only weeks into its receivership and thereby securing 400 jobs. It gives Laird a welcome presence in the DIY 'sheds' market and adds to a portfolio which is now a major presence in the UK window, door and conservatory market. Having just turned in interim pretax profits of £21.3m on a turnover of £225.5m, Laird seems to find it difficult to set a foot wrong at the moment
