Veka Advert

Bad weather shouldn't actually bother anyone that much, since it gets you out of doing the gardening and in any case, there are always plenty of interesting things to do indoors. It's all those charities I feel sorry for, who were expecting hordes of bank holiday day trippers to swell the coffers at the Tombola. Given the bad weather, maybe we should all give £10 to the charity of our choice, as a way of offsetting their losses.

Deceuninck Advert

You may be thinking it's a bad week for news as I have managed to fill two paragraphs about the weather. But you would be wrong! We have First Quarter results from Saint Gobain, news that Astraseal has signed up to the Global roof system in an unusual example of dual sourcing with Ultraframe, investment stories from Titon, TuffX, UAP, Bennett Glass and Magden and sales successes at Newstead and Everwhite.

If you are wondering what happened at Interbuild, by the way, you are going to have to wait another week for our report I'm afraid. Blame the Bank Holiday - or the weather!
