17th September 2019

The newly-named UK Window Group has declined to comment on the Masco Corporation’s declaration of cessation of control of the former UK subsidiary following the US group’s decision in June to put the entire UK group and its brands up for sale.

Companies House records that the US corporation ‘ceased to be a person of significant control’ of the UK group earlier this month, with Paul McGowan simultaneously taking its place. It now also records the formal name change from Masco UK Window Group to drop the word Masco. It also now records a Registration of Charge created by the UK group with regard to Boxwood Capital Ltd.

A spokesperson for the UK group told The Glazine today that it had nothing to say on the matter, while the US corporation has yet to reply to requests for information. Meanwhile, the original corporation title is still in use on the UK brands’ websites and phone recordings.

In June the corporation ended speculation over its future by announcing it was putting the entire UK division up for sale read story including its Duraflex, Griffin Windows, Premier Trade Frames, Techniglass, Phoenix Doors, Evolution and Seven Day Windows.
