15th January 2019

The Panoramic Group, Alan Rees’s fast growing patio door, aluminium and PVC-U fabrication business, last week announced the acquisition of Epwin Glass, the Epwin Group’s 600,000 units/year IGU operation, for an undisclosed sum.

It also adds a major IGU operation to the one-time Panoramic Doors patio door business which has since grown with the acquisition of Alumen Architectural Aluminium and more recently the Welglaze PVC-U fabricator from Quickslide’s owner, the Audasi Group.

Alan Rees, Chairman of the group said: “I am delighted to be adding the sealed unit plant to our group, this will create synergistic opportunities and support our planned growth across all our product range.”

Chris Sellers of 7 Legal and Finance, which advised on the transaction, said: “Alan has exciting plans for growth and we are sure that this is a great strategic acquisition to support those plans."

Epwin Group CEO Jon Bednall said: “We are pleased to have completed the transaction with Panoramic Glass who we feel can offer an exciting future for the Northampton operation and enables Epwin to focus our resources on our other operations.”
