Former GGF managing director Shaun McAllister this week stepped back into the industry spotlight in the newly created role of Retail Operations Director at Conservatory Outlet Group.
McAllister, whose sudden parting in May was one of a number of controversial top level departures at the Federation Read story, will take strategic responsibility of CO’s two recently acquired retail operations, Clearview Home Improvements and Pennine Home Improvements.
Group CEO Greg Kane said of the appointment: “Shaun is unrivalled in his experience and reputation and his appointment is a very welcome addition to our already very strong leadership team. Shaun personally delivered a great level of assistance to a number of members of our team during his time as Managing Director at the GGF and we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome him on board.”
Shaun McAllister added: “I’ve always been a great supporter of the Conservatory Outlet model and of course Greg and Mick – two of the most genuine people in our industry. I hope my experience will give new strength and depth to retail operations, ensuring Clearview, Pennine and the wider Conservatory Outlet Network are top of the industry for years to come.”
Prior to his time at the GGF, he spent 10 years as Divisional and Conservatory Operations Director at Anglian Home Improvements, and most recently, as Director of Central Services at Everest.
The CO Group, formed in April 2017, also includes fabricator Conservatory Outlet Limited, which has experienced consistent, sustained growth for the past ten years and is said to be on target to achieve £20m turnover by next year.
The group says the addition of two retail businesses has allowed the fabricator to understand and get closer to the customer than ever before, delivering benefits for its Network members across the UK.
