An exposed hill-top location called for demanding specifications when 300 Spectus Flush Tilt & Turn windows were chosen for a social housing development of 38 one and two-bedroom flats in in Cricket Hill Road, Sheffield.

The appearance of the flush windows, fabricated and installed by Spectus Approved Window Contractor Jade Windows, combined with a slate grey on smooth colour, created the look of an aluminium window but at a more agreeable price.

The window has a centre seal system with optional third weather seal and can achieve a Window Energy Rating of A++ with double glazing and a U Value of 0.8 W/(m2K) with triple glazing. In this project, 6mm toughened glass was specified for the safety of the residents.

Ryan Fozard, sales manager at Jade Windows said: “The site occupies a prominent position in Sheffield, so we were delighted to be invited to work on it and we are proud of the quality of the end result.”
