Big numbers

It isn’t often that anyone in this industry apart from the retail big names ventures into the heady world of TV advertising, so it is interesting to see the figures that Fensa is reporting from the start of its own TV debut. Who would have thought just a few years ago that the self-assessment arena would become one of the most fiercely competitive sectors in the industry, so it is rather inevitable that at least one player would put its money where its mouth is. It may lead some to wonder who will be next. Read more

Elsewhere this week, it is entirely coincidence that while the mainstream media is turning once again to the quality – or lack of it – in new-build housing, we have announcements from both the GGF and Wintech about standards and testing. Not meaning in any way to exonerate fenestration from all guilt here but it does serve as a reminder that some sectors – if not all their players – still take standards seriously.
