IMI Finally Pulls the Plug on Premier
IMI, and daughter company Polypipe, have persevered bravely with Premier Profiles for several years, and were even prepared to offset £25m against compensation claims for profile discolouration, which is still the subject of a legal dispute between IMI and its raw material suppliers. Now it appears that other problems have led to unsustainable financial losses in 2004, with no hope of recovery for 2005, leading to the closure of the company.
