Filling the sealant gap at Ecobuild
ISO-Chemie will be showing for the first time its range of impregnated foam tapes for the UK eco housing and construction sector at Ecobuild 2010 (stand 2503, Earls Court 2).
These will include the ISO Bloco One – a three-level, all-in-one weather thermal, acoustic and airtight seal – and the ISO Bloco 600. This is a pre-compressed foam sealant, which provides weather tight sealing of movement joints up to 42mm in prefabricated concrete, brick work, curtain walling and cladding panels.
The easy-to-apply ISO-Bloco T-Max tape is designed for multi-storey timber frame structures where it compensates for the large amount of differential movement (up to 36mm) which can occur between the internal timber wall and roofs and the external brick or block work.
Incorporating fire resistant qualities, it can be used to provide a 'fit and forget' perimeter seal for windows, particularly at heads, sills and under the roof eaves for both weather and air tightness, while still remaining permeable to trapped water and water vapour - similar to a flexible breathable style material for the building facade.
Also on display will be the low cost ISO-Butyl Alu tape, an easy-to-install protection for construction and connecting seal and joints, and the ISO-Connect Vario SD.
