Glasslam chief in air rescue drama

Glasslam’s chief executive Steve Howes was called on to perform duties other than carving the Thanksgiving turkey during his holiday in The Bahamas.

Steve had recently joined the Bahamas Sea Air Rescue (Barsa), a voluntary organisation. He got a call to rescue a sailor who got into trouble in the waters of The Bahamas. Steve piloted his own aircraft to save the man.

"He was standing up on the boat, waving to us, so we circled him a few times, went down low, so he could see us. He was waving to us, so we acknowledged him by flashing the lights on the plane," Steve Howes was reported to have said.
