Crossing the Wintech line
Independent facade engineering consultancy Wintech has confirmed the high performance levels of the eco i-spandrel panel from TuffX Processed Glass, via simulated analysis.
In the recent simulation, finite element techniques were used to calculate the centre pane performance of the specialist insulated panels. The details of the simulation and the computer-generated outputs from finite element software included temperature distribution across each section and the centre pane U-value performance of the panel.
The results showed that the U-value for the 28mm eco i panel is 0.174W/m2k, while the U-value for the 35mm eco i panel is 0.140W/m2k.
Graham Price, managing director, said: “As the panel is a unique product, it is important that we can reassure customers in respect of thermal performance. The report was instigated predominantly to demonstrate that design and performance are guaranteed.”
