Strawbridge has Grand Designs

TV presenter and eco-campaigner James Strawbridge will be appearing on the British Fenestration Ratings Council’s stand at Grand Designs Live on Sunday April 26, 2009. This is one of the show’s designated ‘Eco Days’.

James is fronting this year’s BFRC marketing campaign to raise awareness of Energy Efficient Windows (EEWs) among homeowners and to urge them to ‘look for the label’.

Grand Designs Live will be held at ExCeL, London, over 10 days between April 25 and May 4.

On Sunday April 26, James will be on the BFRC stand for the day, and will be joining Giles Willson, director of technical affairs at the BFRC, in the “How To… Theatre” to give a presentation on EEWs. This will take place between 3.15pm and 4.15pm. The talk will open with Giles giving a quick introduction to EEWs – explaining what they are, what they can do and what the BFRC label means. James will talk more generically on the need to make houses more energy efficient, what this costs in terms of the environment, and what it is potentially costing the homeowner. James will also cover the benefits of installing EEWs and how homeowners can add value to their properties by doing so.
