QRS ‘RAPIDFIT’ ORANGERY ROOF ARRIVES

Specialist roofing supplier QRS (Quality Roofing Systems Ltd) has developed a unique new orangery roofing system to work in perfect harmony with the aluminium roofing system from leading supplier Quantal.

The new two-section orangery roof has been in research and development for two years and is unique in that it has been developed in aluminium rather than wood to significantly improve structural performance as well as increase consumer appeal.

QRS has worked in partnership with roofing systems specialist Quantal for more than ten years to develop some of the most advanced roofing products on the market and support its customers make the most of the opportunities that higher-end conservatory roofing products can offer.

Dave Buttery, managing director, QRS, said: “In 2005 QRS predicted that top-end orangeries were going to be a prominent feature in the conservatory market and as such we set up a new orangery roof project development team.

“After undertaking considerable research in Europe and America, QRS began developing a flat roof perimeter which could extend vertically in height so as to meet a variety of customer requirements.

“This patented roof section which has an aluminium frame consisting of four pre-fabricated corners works in perfect harmony with the aluminium conservatory roofing system from Quantal to create a unique product both in terms of strength and performance.”
With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hartlepool QRS operates nationally and sells to quality conscious conservatory installers that have ambitious plans for continued growth in a tough marketplace.

Dave said: “By investing in aesthetically pleasing products that stand out in a crowd, our customers have been able to secure critical new business at a time when others in the market are standing still.

“With our new two-section roofing system, QRS is making it easier for installers to save both time and money as unlike other roofing systems, the new orangery roof can be fitted in just 45 minutes by two unskilled labourers.

“The system also provides the answer to a number of common problems in conservatory design as it has been developed to eliminate all issues related to overbearing glass weights as well as problems with water ingression.”
Ian Cocken, national sales manager, Quantal, said: “QRS has developed the perfect roofing system to work in harmony with the aluminium roofing system from Quantal.

“As a unique product innovation it delivers structural performance whilst improving the product’s overall aesthetics and this makes it even more appealing to the end-user.

“Quantal and QRS continue to invest in new product designs that will maximise opportunities for fabricators and installers and give consumers even more choice.

“With competition pushing down margins on lower-cost products the high-end market remains buoyant so adding a high-end product to your range can give you the crucial extra margin to support your business.”
