EMPLAS TURNS UP THE FEELGOOD FACTOR FOR TRADE CUSTOMERS

Leading trade fabricator, Emplas has a fundraising formula for trade customers to help beat the downturn.

At a time when other window fabricators may be tempted to cut back on support for the trade, Emplas has found a way of stimulating interest and orders by running open days on behalf of local charities

The idea was used recently by T&K, in support of a local campaign for local toddler Harry Lister, who has a rare and debilitating condition. The local press was involved, too, providing publicity and printing vouchers in the paper worth a £3 donation on presentation at T&K’s open weekend.

Craig Johnson, Emplas Sales and Marketing Manager explains: “For everyone who brought a voucher along to one of T&K’s Open Days and got a free, no-obligation quote, we made a £3 donation to Harry’s Fund. In addition, we donated our pre-tax profit from any orders taken on that day to the fund.”

emplasThe result was a highly successful open weekend for T&K, with greatly increased footfall and orders across the product range, strong local publicity and a generous donation to this important local charity when all sales have been finalised. On a similar event earlier this year, T&K donated over £4,000 to a local hospice.

This unique showroom opening event has been used by several other Emplas trade customers and won Emplas the G08 Promotional Campaign of the Year Award 2008. Emplas is happy to discuss rolling the idea out to other trade customers who would like to raise their profile and engage with local good causes.
