International rescue down under

When Western Australian fabricator and installer, DuoGlass, ran into problems with their software supplier it was Business Micros that provided an international rescue service. Furthermore, they received more support than they ever imagined...

Australian-based DuoGlass had been using European profile and hardware, along with a German software solution and the results were mixed to say the least. Following an enquiry from the company, Business Micros sent out Chris Bailey and David Stockwell on a journey across the world, who then not only sorted their software issues out in just 2 days with the Evolution software package, but also helped source a new hardware supplier. They even helped with the manufacture of sample windows in the factory, now that’s expertise!

The team at Business Micros in the UK worked during the day on the software updates while Chris and David implemented these at night, so it was a near 24 hour a day effort. The system is now set up so that Business Micros can now dial in to DuoGlass directly and make any amends or even provide training online. The initial installation has also been followed up with the introduction of EvoSat to five of DuoGlass’s customers so they can both quote and order online.

The owners of DuoGlass were quick to point out that about their experience with Business Micros stating that it “has been by far the most accommodating and straightforward experience in our entire venture so far... In all seriousness we at DuoGlass would have no problem at all recommending your service and software to anyone looking for a window and door software management system. Today we trained up a sales rep on the EvoSat system from scratch in about 20 minutes. Thanks for all your help and early morning conference calls!”

Graeme Bailey, managing director of Business Micros concludes: “This was a great project to work on. We inherited a mess in terms of the software and hardware and left a delighted customer in DuoGlass. We have the capability, capacity and software solution to offer a number of overseas markets and would welcome further enquiries. But if it’s somewhere nice again we’ll have to draw lots in the office!”
