BWC achieves BBA and A-C energy ratings for Spectus Elite 63
Spectus fabricator, BWC (I.O.W.) Ltd, has achieved A to C Window Energy Ratings and BBA certification for the fabrication of Elite 63 window and door system, with the option of enhanced resistance to intrusion. Established almost 20 years ago, BWC is based on the Isle of Wight, and has recently re-branded.
Ian Holbrooke, a Director at BWC, comments: “Originally we were buying in windows for the new build market. But we weren’t happy with the quality, and we wanted more control, so we decided to go for our own BBA certification. This provides all our customers, builders and the general public with the assurance that all the windows we manufacture have been made to BBA specification.
“The Spectus system works well,” continues Ian. “and we have an excellent relationship with the team, especially the technical department.”
BWC (I.O.W.) Ltd fabricates and installs casement, french and tilt ‘n’ turn windows, as well as residential, patio, French and bi-fold doors, and conservatories too, in the Spectus Elite 63 bevelled suite. All products are fully welded and internally glazed, and the windows have a stainless steel shoot-bolt locking system. Residential doors have multi-point hook locks with a shoot-bolt option and French doors have a double handle with shoot-bolt locking. All locks are Secured By Design.
