Astraseal delights tenants in Monmouthshire

REHAU fabricator Astraseal is delighting many of the tenants of Monmouthshire Housing Association with the replacement of deteriorating timber, steel and aluminium windows in their homes with energy efficient PVC-U.

Astraseal completed a contract to replace the windows in around 500 properties during 2008 and it has proved so successful that the company will move on to a further 1800 homes in 2009.

The windows, which are predominantly casements, have been fabricated in REHAU’s S706 70mm system and all are BFRC C rated for energy efficiency and have Secured By Design status.

Astraseal is partnering with Monmouthshire Housing Association on this contract which was awarded via the LHC U7G Bulk Purchase Arrangement for PVC-U windows.

It follows a successful pilot scheme at the start of 2008 on selected properties in the HA’s housing stock, after which the feedback from tenants on the quality of the windows, installation and customer service from Astraseal was excellent.
