New weather rig increases testing capacity

BM TRADA has upgraded its High Wycombe testing facilities with a new weather rig, which will increase the capacity of its mechanical testing laboratory and improve turnaround times.

The rig incorporates a 4.5m x 4.5m test wall for testing doors, windows and other relevant construction products, and is able to accommodate samples up to 3.7m x 3.7m.
Cenk Akar BM Trada Commercial Head for Mechanical & Structural Testing, said:

“The new rig represents the latest step in our ongoing programme of upgrading our testing facilities. The shorter turnaround times between tests will significantly increase our capacity, which in turn will result in improved lead times for our customers and help them reduce the time taken to complete the development process for new products.”
