BBA at Ecobuild
31st January 2012

The British Board of Agrément (BBA) is one of the few certification bodies selected to be a part of the UKAS Green Deal pilot programme covering the accreditation requirements for the certification of installers and advisors, and will be on hand at Ecobuild.

Although the details of the Green Deal are still being finalised by Government, being involved in the pilot programme means that the BBA will be able to offer help and advice to installers and advisors seeking approval.

CE marking will also be a hot topic of conversation at the show with many product manufacturers wishing to discuss the implications of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) making CE marking mandatory for many construction products from 1st July 2013.

The BBA has considerable experience in this area and for a modest fee of £950 plus VAT is offering guidance to clients on the steps they need to take to be able to apply CE marking to their products. This service involves our technical experts analysing any harmonised European Standard(s) relevant to clients’ products and preparing a report summarising the key action points required.

Also on show will be the BBA’s new and improved website. Of particular interest will be the new certificate search facility designed with a series of drop down menus to accurately pinpoint specific certificates and installers with ease. The look and feel of the website is also being improved with more logical and clearer navigation so that clients can find the information they require quickly and easily.

So for up to the minute guidance and advice on product and installer approvals visit the BBA in the South hall stand 2360.
