Midlands expansion

Hardware distributor VBH recently relocated its Midlands site from Coleshill to a new warehousing and office facility in nearby Minworth.

The building was completely refurbished prior to VBH moving in over Christmas and boasts some green credentials.

The walls and roof are designed to reflect heat in the summer months to keep the building cool, and retain heat in the winter months to minimise energy consumption for cooling or heating.

The Minworth site is 50% larger than the premises vacated at Coleshill so allows VBH to carry increased stocks of window and door hardware; notably its own greenteQ products and those of the VBH Architectural Aluminium Division that has always been based in the Midlands.

Sales office manager Bryan Bickersteth said: “VBH has had a successful 20 years in Coleshill but the move to newer, larger and greener premises in Minworth makes perfect sense. We can hold more stock, which is always important to customers, particularly at this time when many fabricators are being let down on supply by other hardware companies. The road, rail and air links are even better than at Coleshill so visitors will find it easier to reach us.”
