Designed and developed to meet the most rigorous standards for residential door security, the Excalibur multi-point door locking system from Kenrick provides superior performance and reliability coupled with ease of assembly and smooth operation.
Part of Kenrick’s Excalibur range, which also includes a high security dual claw shootbolt, the Excalibur door lock meets the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design. It has been function tested to in excess of 100,000 cycles and also exceeds the requirements of BS EN 1670 Grade 4 (severe) rating for salt spray corrosion resistance.
The lock’s strength is achieved through three sintered steel hook bolts, which are supported by two steel anti lift pins for added security. Three roller cams provide compression and very smooth operation. One roller is placed directly below the gearbox to aid with compression in the centre of the door. However because it is less than 100mm away from the centre hook unit, it does not compromise the strength of the system during PAS 24 testing.
The Excalibur door lock allows fabricators to use one lock for all applications on both front and back doors, while its twin spindle design means that both lever/lever and lever/movable pad unsprung handles can be used with only one lock to provide more choice for the end user.
All Excalibur door locks are extendable, and the gearbox is sprung on both spindles, which eliminates the need to buy more costly sprung handle sets.
The Excalibur door lock is simple to install thanks to the clearly visible alignment marks on both the faceplate and on all keeps. Backsets of 35mm and 45mm are available. The 45mm option is designed primarily for the composite and timber door market and has the addition of a rounded faceplate.
The Excalibur door lock is also backed by a 10 -ear performance guarantee and an exclusive security backed guarantee scheme. The security guarantee offers the homeowner free security cover, up to £500 towards the cost of replacing a damaged window or door and up to £600 towards the cost of replacing stolen property for a period of five years from the date of installation.
