Cowboy trap
Network Veka fabricator Tingle Trade Windows was called in to save the day when a TV consumer champion answered a local family’s plea for help.
BBC One’s Cowboy Trap turned to Wakefield-based Tingle to sort out a home improvement disaster where presenter and building expert Clive Holland had highlighted a catalogue of faults left by another company.
The work needed urgent repair, in many cases to bring it up to legal safety standards, as partner Richard Tingle explained: “We had to replace or refit fire doors on all three floors. There was a stairway window with no opening restrictor so anyone such as a child could have easily fallen out. We also had to rip out the entire new staircase and build another from scratch, as well as many other smaller repairs.”
