Goldseal aims for top podium finish with Profile 22

Glasgow-based Goldseal has signed to Profile 22 as part of the Scottish fabricator’s new and expanded offering to its trade customers.

Going into production in the FS70 system in the summer, Goldseal is the latest in a series of new business wins for the systems company.

John McNamee, managing director Goldseal, said that product quality, range and service had driven the company’s decision to switch supplier.

He said: “On a very fundamental level it’s just a very good looking and good quality profile. Our trade customers like it and switching hasn’t caused them any concerns. Then on top of that you have also got the other benefits, the foiling service, the integrated hardware and breadth of range plus service and support levels– it was just the right thing to do for our business.”

Manufacturing approximately 200 frames per week, supplying trade, new build and commercial markets, Goldseal has recently completed a period of significant investment in new machinery and equipment.

It has also gone through a major relocation exercise to Glasgow’s Queenslie Industrial Estate, after its old factory was earmarked for demolition to make way for new facilities ahead of 2014 when the city will play host to the Commonwealth Games.

John continued: “It’s been a difficult period, moving an operation is always going to be complicated and throw up challenges but we’re through that now. The positive is that we have been able to invest in new facilities that will meet not only our current demand but allow us to give a better service to our customers, for example a full range of WER accredited windows and new colour options.”
