A training step upLadderstore.com has been appointed as an approved Training Centre by the Ladder Association as part of its national training scheme for users, supervisors and managers. The scheme addresses all of the issues raised by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Ladderstore is running two courses: ‘Safe Use of Ladders’ is for anyone using a ladder, step ladder or podium in the workplace; and ‘Ladder Inspection’ is for personnel who conduct and document periodic ladder, step ladder and podium inspections and audits. Demonstration of competence is a key requirement of the regulations and successful completion of the Ladderstore training courses provides such proof. All participants receive a Code of Practice with a forward by the Health & Safety Executive and a Ladder Association photo ID card, valid for five years, as proof of competence. The full day courses can be attended either at Ladderstore’s Training Centre in Bolton, or can be held by arrangement at a company’s premises with individual delegate rates from £125 depending on numbers.
