Over 100 sign up for installer scheme

More than 100 installers have signed up to Epwin’s Excellence as Standard installer programme in the first week since its launch at the FIT Show – 80 of them on the first day alone – and the figure is forecast to go on growing as more fabricators join the scheme, says the group.

Marketing Director Sharn Samra told The Glazine: “Excellence as Standard is so much more than a conventional registered installer scheme and the reaction from both installers and fabricators shows that it is just what the industry needs.

“Those installers are now going through the verification process to check their suitability to the charter and, all being well, they will be accepted as members.

Excellence as Standard is designed to promote excellence amongst extruders, manufacturers, installers and partners across the window and door industry, says Epwin read story. Covering its three Spectus, Profile22 and Swish brands, the programme: “advocates excellence at every stage of the project – from manufacturing through to installation in a consumer’s home. Installers who are part of the programme will be demonstrating they are committed to raising standards across the industry and delivering an outstanding customer experience.”

A series of masterclasses were held on all three days of the show. The group also introduced the #takethepledge hashtag to help spread the word about the programme.

Alongside the scheme, the group launched four new product ranges at the show: A Patiomaster tiplr track opening system, a new range of solid timber core composite door leaves, a mechanically jointed option for the Spectus Vertical Slider and an aluminium bi-fold.
