Weekly Email News for the Glass, Glazing & Fenestration Industries

From:
Guy Hubble,
Joint Managing Director,
RegaLead

While checking our social media accounts recently I noticed that a certain picture is doing the rounds again. I’m talking about the man sat in the tattooist’s chair as he is inflicted with what can only be described as a childlike stick drawing of what is supposed to be a majestic winged horse. The image bears the caption ‘there is always someone willing to do it cheaper,’ and this message really hits home to those of us who are painfully aware of that someone who is willing to do it cheaper, and exactly why they are willing to do so.

While price is undeniably an important factor when choosing a supplier, there are arguably multiple aspects to consider first. Primarily, will their product perform? Does it comply with all the relevant standards and is there test evidence to prove it? Can you trust that it is of high quality? After all, a guarantee is only as good as the company behind it. Can you sell it within your product range? Is it an attractive or workable design?  Can you actually get the product? Even if it meets all the previous criteria, there’s little point if you have to wait months for something which is not currently in stock.

As a decorative glass unit provider, Decorative Door Products (DDP) by RegaLead holds all the important accreditations for the UK market and beyond, including EN 1279, with Part 3 for gas retention across all three UK manufactured spacer platforms and our imported IGUs. Our units include the option of a P1A laminate – a requirement under PAS 24 – helping customers future proof their doors for new build applications come October. We have the widest range of decorative glass units for doors to suit all tastes and budgets - with 46,000 available from stock in the UK - and RegaLead’s heritage and financial stability speak for themselves. Our business is all about adding value, and with RegaLead you get what you pay for and then some.
