Brothers celebrate with anniversary and award

Family-run Network Veka installer and fabricator companies – AWC HOME IMPROVEMENTS and GEMINI UPVC – are celebrating a milestone anniversary and success in local business awards.

Gemini, whose MD is Paul Griffiths, marked 30 years in business on 6th June, while AWC whose Director is brother Michael, was named Retailer of the Year at the Oldham Business Awards in a ceremony hosted by comic impressionist, John Culshaw.

Paul said: “The home improvement industry has had to withstand all sorts of challenges over the past 30 years and there are plenty of companies that didn't weather the storm. Gemini is still here and thriving, thanks to a hard-working team, great relationships with top notch suppliers, and the support we receive from organisations like Network Veka and Veka's Approved Fabricator Scheme.

“The family tie between Gemini and AWC strengthens both businesses. Neither wants to let the other down, as a lost client for one reflects badly on the other.
