Laminated glass for river bridge

A striking glass-sided river bridge was just one part of the contribution by TUFFX PROCESSED GLASS to the new Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.

Housed in a 12,000 square metre purpose built facility at Ansty Park, the MTC represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing for many years and operates some of the most advanced manufacturing equipment in the world.

TuffX supplied a variety of products for the project also including balustrading and stairwells at the new centre. Stair treads were manufactured in 21.5 mm PVB toughened glass, which consisted of two 10mm green tint glasses and 1.5mm PVB interlayer; whilst the bridge incorporated 21.5 mm green tint toughened glass with a 1.5mm thick Sentry Guard Plus SGP interlayer.
