Golf Day Raises over £5,000

Trade fabricator FRAME FAST has raised more than £5,000 for the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, at its annual golf day, held at the Breadsall Priory Country Park in Derbyshire.

There was a raffle with 24 prizes on offer donated by Frame Fast’s suppliers, customers and friends, including a BBQ and a TV. There was a game of foot-golf and a composite door challenge, where players had to get the ball through an empty glass panel on the door.

Frame Fast chose to support the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre after being inspired by its Chairman, Bill Tomlinson, at this year’s Derby Telegraph Community Champions Awards when Bill was given the lifetime achievement award for his dedication to charity work.

“It’s always great to receive generous donations, so on behalf of Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the golf day,” he said.

“The work we do plays such an important role for the personal and social development of local children and we continue to provide as many holiday places as we can. Trustees have, for some time, wished to increase the number of holidays provided by a further 150pa. Frame Fast’s magnificent gift brings this wish closer to reality for 2017.”

Frame Fast Director Nigel Leivers presented the cheque to Bill and the rest of the DCHC team.

“It was a really special moment handing over the cheque to the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre,” said Nigel. “We always look forward to our golf day, it’s really good fun and all for a worthy cause. We hope the money raised can make a real difference to the lives of children in Derbyshire.”
