Sustained growth in its GRP composite door range has led Total Glass to invest in a new computer-controlled twin-head router, effectively tripling its in-house production capacity.
As an addition to the existing single-head machine, the £150k investment is paying dividends according to Phill Cresswell, Trade Sales Manager who says: “It means we can now manufacture up to 1,000 composite doors per week. It also gives us greater flexibility in the range of designs we can offer.
“Demand for composite doors is still very much there; it’s growing all the time and we can see that trend continuing. In fact, they are outstripping the standard PVC-U panels as they’re more secure, more easily maintained and last longer.”
The Total Glass range of composite doors comprises 20 styles in seven colour options. Complementing more than 200 attractive glass designs is a wide choice of hardware options, including lever/lever and lever/pad door handle variants and 180-degree letter plate.
All doors are manufactured to PAS 023 and PAS 024 standards with Secured by Design-accredited versions also supplied, where required. High specification security features include a Yale kite-marked anti-manipulation cylinder with anti-bump cylinder protector to prevent removal or snapping.
Document M-compliant low threshold options can also be specified and all Total Glass composite doors, which are guaranteed for 10 years, are available with various side panels, both solid and glazed. Built to bespoke customer requirements, they are delivered in five to seven days.
