FlushSASH is the new range of flush casement windows, now available exclusively to Whiteline and their customers. This new line will enable homeowners, even in conservation areas, to achieve traditional good looks with state-of-the-art replacement FlushSASH windows in PVCu.
Steve Milham, Managing Director at Whiteline, explains the background to this unique new sales opportunity. “Flush casement windows are a very familiar sight across our cities, towns and villages. A product of traditional joinery techniques, they are found in an abundance of older housing stock and more recent developments built to traditional designs. The key feature of flush casements is their strong, balanced appearance, created by the sashes fitting flush with the sub-frame and mullions. They are often fitted into, rather than onto, the main window outer frame, which adds further character, distinctiveness and value to the property.”
“Until now timber has been the preferred flush casement frame material, accounting for a significant share of total wooden frame sales” Mr Milham continues. “However, the inherent detail, intricacy and expense involved has hindered the replacement market and the opportunity for householders to adopt the flush design to create a new look and ambience for their homes. Until now that is.“
New FlushSASH is the first PVCu casement sash system, designed to fit into a 70mm, 6 chambered, sub-frame and be installed into any type of property. FlushSASH has the look of a traditional window but the benefits of a fully featured PVCu model, with long life, high security and ‘A’ energy efficiency. The 50mm deep FlushSASH combines with existing frames, cills, posts and couplers, without modification, to create bespoke installations and open up new possibilities for doors, French doors, sidelights and conservatories. Coloured foils, Georgian bars, handles, dummy butt hinges and casement stays offer potential to personalise each installation.
