Trade counter Truemans Windows recently held a successful fundraising event for charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan gives help, advice and guidance to thousands of cancer sufferers and their families every year, and to show their support the Trueman family and staff at all three branches hosted a charity event at the Trueman household in Lancashire.
100 guests were expected at the event, which was held on Saturday 5th July, with the hopes of raising over £2,000 for the worthy cause.
There was a lot for guests to enjoy on the day, including a BBQ, live music, a giant tee-pee, a del-boy lookalike, and hundreds of prizes to be given away.
The 100+ guests, including many of the Truemans staff, had a fun filled day and managed to raise an amazing £3,850 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Joe Trueman, managing director of Truemans, comments, “We are truly blown away by the generosity of everyone who came to our fundraising event. We expected to raise around £2,000 so to reach a grand total of £3,580 was fantastic! Everyone had a great time too; there certainly would have been some sore heads on the Sunday morning.”
