Composite door range expanded

In a move that will help its customers add value to their product offering, Doncaster based Direct Trade has expanded the range of glass designs available in its dual and single rebate composite doors.

The new designs were created by Decorative Door Products, the specialist division of decorative glass manufacturers RegaLead, and are backed by two new consumer facing brochures, enabling installers to easily demonstrate the different options to homeowners.

Steve Green managing director of Direct Trade commented: “Demand for composite doors has grown significantly over the past few years and we wanted to ensure our trade customers have the products they need to make the most of this opportunity. The additional glass designs mean installers can add value and offer their customers a fairly unique product, helping them stand out from the competition.”

Direct Trade offers two composite doors – one with a single rebate (branded Kudos) and one with a dual rebate (branded Citadel). Both are available in either Veka Halo’s System 10 (chamfered) or Rustique (ovolo) outerframe and a wide range of colours.

The single rebate Kudos composite door slab is manufactured with a high density foam core that according to recent tests is 19% more thermally efficient than the solid timber core composite door and 17% more thermally efficient than the traditional timber panelled door.

The dual rebate Citadel composite door meanwhile is 50% thicker than a standard composite door, offering incredible security and protection from the elements. They are also easy to fit and can be easily adjusted on-site thanks to its fully adjustable hinge.

Aside from composite doors Direct Trade manufactures windows and doors in the Veka Halo System 10 and Rustique window systems and complete conservatory packages which are available with Global or Ultraframe roofs. Products are available in a choice of woodgrain foils or can be coated in any RAL colour.
