Improved Aqua Drill launched

Bohle has re-engineered its popular Aqua Drill battery powered, wet drilling machine by introducing a next generation drive unit from Protool. The efficient water fed chuck for diamond core drills, developed and produced by Bohle, has not been changed, but now users can switch to standard chucks quickly and easily. The improved product has been designated Aqua Drill Plus, BO 79.302 and is available for the same price as the previous model.

Commenting on the launch, Bohle Managing Director Dave Broxton said, "The demand for a versatile, multi-functional machine, with exchangeable chucks to allow both wet operation with diamond core drills, as well as impact drilling and screwing functions was the driver for the improved Aqua Drill Plus. By changing to Protool drive technology, we now offer a product with the latest generation, lithium ion batteries, which significantly increase the service life of the machine, all for no extra outlay.” The EC-TEC motor runs without carbon brushes and the speed is adjustable in four steps up to 3800 rpm. This high speed allows quick and accurate drilling for diameters as small as 4mm. A screw bit adapter is included with the drill as well.

Bohle also offers a comprehensive range of accessories for the Aqua Drill Plus including a variety of fixing templates and drilling aids to prevent the drill from slipping and damaging tiles. The top model "Profi" with vacuum suction holder is even equipped to drain off the drilling dust together with the coolant. This keeps the entire drilling area clean. Bohle also offers a 12-litre pressurized water tank, which makes the Aqua Drill Plus independent of a mains water supply. "By freeing it from mains water and power supplies, we ensure that the drilling machine can be used with the greatest possible flexibility," concludes Broxton.
